New here - so hoping this is the right thread - currently in the process of buying a BISF house - what was known as steel & concrete - it has been renovated by the Council - is now cladded with a new roof - although roof was done some years before external walls - to arrange buildings insurance, we need to know the materials of roof & external walls - this is where we have come unstuck - contacted local Council but not had a response as of yet - also need to know if spray foam insulation has ever been used by the Council - they have batted that back to us as occupiers of the house - we do not have a clue!!

That sounds like a lovely renovation, but I understand how tricky it can be with BISF homes and insurance. Hopefully, the council gets back to you soon. In the meantime, maybe a surveyor can help confirm the materials and check for spray foam insulation. Best of luck with your new home!
