I’m trying to buy a spooner house pre 1960 timber frame and know Santander and Halifax accept them because 3 houses down sale street mortgaged by Halifax and 2 Santander but I’ve had both companies value the property and both have rejected it due to its timber frame and single skin wall does anyone have advice on what to do please as I’m confused why they have accepted others down the street but not mine

@sophieee hi yes the Nottingham building society take them but only with a structural engineering report yes it cost £530 for that report but the house was worth it and passed with flying colours I used a mortgage broker Charlie bridges
